Human Rights

Human Rights exist irrespective of any legislation or treaty. However, much as for any other rights, protecting and enforcing human rights is difficult without laws that describe exactly what those rights are. Canadians have their human rights protected by laws at three different “levels”:

  1. Provincial law;
  2. Federal law; and
  3. Customary International Law:

However, enforcing human rights can be challenging, even when specifically protected by law. Contact Pappin Law for assistance with enforcing your human rights.
